I spent nearly 20 years in finance and accounting before starting FFG Advisory, working across oil and gas, manufacturing, construction, alternative investments, state licensing, and nonprofits. I came up from Staff Accountant to Controller, which means I’ve done the work at every level, not just supervised it.
I started this practice because I kept meeting owners who needed real financial leadership and couldn’t justify a full-time Controller or CFO. Fractional accounting is crowded now. What’s harder to find is someone who has actually led the function: rebuilt close processes, managed cash through tight quarters, and sat in the room when the decision got made.
My goal isn’t to keep your books in order. It’s to get you to the point where you understand your numbers well enough to use them.
